Route views — Refuge / V → Finish
← map
matrix ↗
Three views of the same fragments (a fragment = one route riding directly between two
checkpoints, no other checkpoint between). The diagram shows where routes share roads and where
they split; the ledger lists every ridden fragment with all its riders side by side; the
ladders read each route top-to-bottom. Lettered tags mark fragments ridden by more than one
route — the same tag is the same stretch in every view. ⚠ = a ferry with very restricted service.

Method — identical to the fragment matrix page (both use the same shared pipeline): checkpoint
sequences come from nearest-point matching within 2.5 km; only consecutive checkpoints count as a
fragment, judged on each route's full sequence but shown only for the Refuge + V–XVI + Finish window.
Hand-built climb is a plain 10 m-threshold sum of the track's own elevation; generated (ORS) tracks are
denoised first (100 m resample + 900 m rolling median) so their figures are comparable — calibrated to
within ~2% of hand-built on a shared road. ⛴ counts ferry crossings inside the fragment (label-matched
where ferries.json knows the route, geometric for the spliced alternates); ⚠ means ≤6 sailings/day,
90+ min between sailings, or a daily window ≤12 h — hover for the ferry and reason. In the ledger,
entries are sorted shortest first and the shortest distance is brightened. Arrows show each route's
riding direction (→ follows the fragment label, ← is the reverse).
